Congratulations to all BAV players on clean sweep once again at the 2011 Regional team events championship in all age groups (under 11, 13, 15, 17 & 23).
Special thanks to all the team managers who have helped the team on the day and parents of the kids who supported their children the whole day at MSAC.

2011 Victorian Team Events Championship

BAV players won the under 11, 13, 15 and 17 at last week Victorian Team Events championship at MSAC.
Our under 23 team, came 2nd place after lost against SEBA by 1 premiership point.
The second team of under 11, came 4th place after WSBA (2nd) and Mid-Gippsland (3rd).

Thank you to all managers and parents who helped the team and supported the children during the team events.
Well done all BAV players who performed well at the tournament.

2011 BAV Junior entry form

This year BAV will hold the junior tournament on the 7th August 2011 for under 11, 13 & 17.  Entry will be closed on the 20th July, please send it ASAP.

Victoria Na represented Australia

BAV players, Victoria Na and daughter of BAV coach (Kobeng Na) played for Australia at the recent mixed team event (the Sudirman Cup in China) and this week Whyte Trophy (a mixed team event between Australia and New Zealand).


At the Sudirman Cup in China, the Australian team played in the 3rd zone and came 2nd position after losing to Sweden by close 3-2.
Meanwhile in Zone 1, China won the Sudirman Cup again after beating Denmark by 4-1 (article can be viewed at: International Badminton Website).

Australian team at the Whyte trophy represented by: Victoria Na, Leanne Choo, Renuga Veeran, Jeff Tho, Glen Warfe and Ross Smith won the tie by 4-1.
