BAV is holding the junior tournament for the 1st time this Sunday (20th June 2010).  Thank you for everyone (especially BAv.inc committee members & parents) who have working hard and preparing for this tournament.

Across in New Zealand, three of our players Louisa Ma, Matthew Chau & Hu-wen Chew are representing Australia in under 19 Pan Pacific series between New Zealand, Singapore Sports School and Australia.
The team events which concluded last night, with the New Zealand team won the series, Singapore came 2nd, Australia 3rd and New Zealand association came last place.

The players will now competing in the individual events New Zealand Junior under 19.  Good luck for everyone and we are following their results from here.

This year June Bevan carnival is held in Perth (WA) with 14 teams are competing in the team events from Australian States (NSW, WA, Northern Teritories, South AUS & VIC) plus New Zealand teams from Mainland New Zealand, Northern Region and Central Region.

The team event is started today and will be completed on Wednesday next week follow by the individual championship.

Badminton Academy of Victoria/Mountain District Badminton Association players clean sweep the team events in all age categories (under 11, 13, 15, 17 & 19).

This year Victorian team events champs are using rally points system up to 31 points for under 13, 15, 17 and 19 and 21 points for the under 11.
All age categories have 6 teams competing in the group. The winner of each group won the team events title.

REGIONAL TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS (28/08/2005)
BAV and MDBA players have successfully won the under 13, 15, 17 & 19 age groups yesterday at MSAC.
After struggling on the beginning of the match versus Western Region, the under 13 team finally managed to pull out to win the team events.
The under 15 team won comfortably, as well as the under 17 and 19 teams.
